My son wants to be Harry Potter for Halloween and he just read the first book and saw the first movie "Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone." The tie from the first year at Hogwarts is exactly this scarlet and gold stripe tie! I have only found lesser quality purple ties with a slight gold stripe in the stores and online. This tie is "dress" quality and will be worn by him to church and other events until he grows out of it. It is a boy's tie length and not a full size for a man. Pair this tie with a white dress shirt and a gray v-neck (we found ours at The Gap) and you have the upper half of Harry Potter's first year at Hogwarts!
