(More customer reviews)Saw this on a shelf next to another book I was looking for and grabbed it thinking what the hay. Considering movie 6 is out this week perhaps this would be a good review? But I can see George has come out with a later updated edition which is sure to have more to do with book 6. This one only includes book 5 and movies to 3. Still, there is the opportunity to pick up some interesting tidbits here and there. He suggests it is not a read-through book but a reference - though at this size reading through it is no problem. It is a hodge-podge of things from summaries of the books including publishing records of sorts. Criticisms - the one by Bloom ("a blooming idiot?") is my favorite especially since Bloom, not withstanding is still one of my all time favorites even if he does sell a lot of books and so must be fair game to his own criticism if that is part of his concern. All in all an interesting read though for sure a re-read of book 6 is now a must.
