(More customer reviews)This was a real tie (not a clip on or pre-tied fake) that seemed to be made of good sturdy, attractive material. I have no problems with the quality of the tie. The only issue I have is that it is not maroon, but purple. A royal darkish purple. Not even remotely reddish. We purchased it for the Midnight Harry Potter party at the local bookstore and it passed, but other ties were maroon and looked better. In summary: good quality tie but not correct Gryffindor colors.
