When it arrived, I thought I would wear it like a normal necklace, but after just wearing it around the house, part of the glass broke and all the sand came out. I emailed the seller and they sent me a new one with in a few days and said that it is fragile, so I think it is best kept on display, but it is very authentic and fun to look at/ play with carefully. I now wear the broken one and keep the intact one in its display case. I am 17, and even the kids at school either thought it way fun, really liked it, and even a boy in my math class said, "hey, you are just like hermione granger"...if only I were as good at math as hermione would be. overall I definitely recommend it, but if you are planning on wearing it, beware that the glass may break.
